My Story:
Hi, I’m Johnece, the heart behind EcoEats.
My love for cooking started at home, in the everyday moments—watching my mother, learning how she took simple ingredients and turned them into meals that brout comfort, flavor, and connection. Over time, that skill of hers grew into a passion for me. Remembering that skill of “making something from nothing” instilled something deeper with me: a desire to cook more intentionally, waste less, and create meals that not only taste good but also support a healthier lifestyle.
I’ve always believed that cooking doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. Some of the best meals come from what you already have—learning how to stretch ingredients, use every part of your food, and still create something delicious and satisfying. That mindset is what inspired EcoEats.
Through EcoEats, I share my passion for home cooking, practical meal planning, and garden-to-table living. I also teach cooking classes designed to help others feel more confident in the kitchen—whether that’s preparing everyday meals, trying something new, or simply learning how to make food that feels good to eat and share.
For me, it’s not just about cooking—it’s about creating a lifestyle that brings “food and folks together”, reduces waste, and makes the most out of what we have.
